There are four fellowship programs in public service psychiatry spread across the Commonwealth in Philadelphia, Hershey, Erie and Pittsburgh. They operate together under the sponsorship of the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Leadership Council (PPLC) with funds from the State and other sources. The PPLC has the missions of promoting the mental health and well-being of people residing in Pennsylvania and working to ensure that publicly funded psychiatric services of the highest quality are accessible to all.

A key element of our strategy to accomplish this is to support the recruitment, training, and retention of superb public service psychiatrists by creating faculty and offering fellowships at our four cooperating Centers of Excellence in Public and Community Psychiatry, each with a focus on either urban or rural practice.
