Curtis N. Adams, M.D.

Curist N. Adams, M.D. Dr. Curtis Adams was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended Mc Donogh School for 12 years. He completed his undergraduate and medical studies at Howard University in Washington, DC. He went on to train in general adult psychiatry at Hahenemann University in Philadelphia, PA. Upon completion of his psychiatric residency, he was appointed the unit director of the Psychiatric Medical Care Unit at Hahnemann University Hospital.

He then worked on a general inpatient unit at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Dallas Texas. He gained valuable experience in community psychiatry while working for Mental Health Connections in Dallas, TX.

In 1998, Dr. Adams joined the faculty of the Department of Psychiatry, University of Maryland Baltimore and began working in outpatient in the Division of Community Psychiatry. He is the Senior Psychiatrist at the Carruthers Clinic, a community mental health center, and is an attending psychiatrist on The Division's Programs of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) team. He also provides weekly consultation and training to Harbor City Unlimited, a psychosocial rehabilitation program run by the University of Maryland Baltimore.
